Session content can range from basic setup and novice-level tutorials to complex, multi-integration sales process trainings. Hence, they naturally have a unique set of customizable tools and reports at their disposal. Beginner Salesforce Online Training Agenda


The goal of our online Salesforce training services is to ensure you and your team are as comfortable with the platform as possible. After all, because it’s so powerful, there is a bit of a learning curve.

If necessary, during our first training session, we cover the basic functions of Salesforce, including basic setup needs, to provide a conceptual foundation and “map.” That’s why our goals for the first training are simply to learn how to navigate and understand standard Salesforce functionality.

Gradually, through future training sessions, more complex concepts and elements are added. But for now, we keep things pretty general. To keep engagement up (and consequently adoption), we encourage trainees to speak up and ask questions early and often.

Here we discuss the concept of the “Object.” Think of an object like an entity in standard database terms. It is the container for all the information on a certain person, place or thing you want to store data on. Consider a school, which might need to track its students, teachers, and classes. To do this, it would create objects in Salesforce, for students, teachers, and classes.  There are multiple Objects in Salesforce:

  • The Contact object: People who work at companies
  • The Account object: Companies
  • The Lead object: Unqualified prospects
  • The Opportunity object: Qualified prospects
  • Various Custom objects: extra objects tailored to a business’ process needs.

Here we start getting our hands dirty and creating contact, account, and lead records. We also begin navigating list “views.”

  • Edit a Record (in-line or page layout)
  • Section Roll-ups (maintains state for you)

Now we begin to piece together the sales process conceptually. This is where most of the “Aha!” moments take place.

  • How to convert a Lead
  • How to move data to the appropriate “Object” (Account, Contact, Lead)
  • Discuss how one does not HAVE to create a Lead first (could create these records separately and connect them)
  • Discuss how “Activities” on the Lead record move over to the associated Account and Contact objects – Activities rollup to Accounts but can be seen just for the Contact (or Opportunity) records.
